I first discovered photography after buying an old Kodak Box Brownie in a jumble sale. My dad showed me how to develop the film (remember that) in our cellar and I quickly became enthralled by the process. After an 18th birthday present of a Nikon and spending far too much time in the school dark room, I knew that photography was going to be my life. After rejecting some more conventional ‘career paths’, I graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Hons in Contemporary Photography and set about perfecting my craft.
30 years later and I continue to provide commercial photography, family portraiture and video services throughout England as well as my home in the North East. I am still just as excited as ever about capturing the essence of someone special or making your business shine. Great photography elicits powerful emotions.
I take a fresh approach to every commission. I’m always striving to produce original imagery be it a family portrait for the home or a commercial image for marketing a business. The best results are achieved by listening to my clients from the start to make sure I understand your vision. I’ve had particular experience of working with vulnerable sections of society and those affected by significant life events where working with sensitivity is uppermost.
I am John Faulkner and thank you for visiting my website. I do hope you like my work and feel free to get in touch with me any time.
